A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-2-8b, relating to requiring that all state high schools provide a course in archery safety for hunters.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-2-8b, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§18-2-8b. Hunter archery safety orientation program.
The State Board of Education, with the advice and participation of the Division of Natural Resources, shall prescribe a curriculum to teach hunter education that shall include instruction in archery safety. Each high school in the state shall include the course of study for its students.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require all high schools to teach a course in archery safety for hunters.
